Airport Pick - Up & Temporary Accommodation
Airport Pick-up
ISA provides free airport pickup service for all the new coming Indian students through its volunteers and friends. In order to use this service, please read the guidelines and sign the disclaimer. Submit the request form at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival. Essentials of the airport pick-up service are:
1. The airport pick-up service should be requested at least 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival in Columbus.
2. Once the request form is submitted with all the required information, a person from ISA will crosscheck the information and send you a confirmation email with all the details at least 7 days before your arrival.
3. It is very important to follow the prescribed format for filling in the answers.
4. Incomplete requests will not be entertained.
5. If there is any change in the itinerary after submission of the request, please update us by filling another request form. Please understand that ISA will only be able to accommodate the changed request if notified reasonably in advance.
6. If there is any delay during your transit or at any connecting airport, if possible, call the person who is coming for airport pickup.
7. Respect the person who is volunteering for airport pick-up.
8. If the person who comes to pick you up at the airport is not from your region/country, please respect the cultural difference. Do not bring up sensitive topics.
Temporary accommodation service
Temporary housing free of cost can also be requested through ISA. ISA's volunteers and friends will host the new coming students at their homes until they find housing and roommates. Some of the important points about the temporary accommodation service are:
1. The new student should keep the place clean, and leave it in the initial condition.
2. The new students are expected to show proactiveness in their hunt for apartments and roommates, and are expected to stay not more than 4-5 days at their temporary housing.
3. ISA will duly respect the gender based preferences and will allot a female or a family as the hosts for girl students. However, all other requests related to preference/ choice of the temporary house will not be entertained.
4. Even though ISA's volunteers host new students free of cost at their place, it is advised that the new student should contribute (or at least offer to contribute) in the expendables- buying grocery and food items, and other daily use items like soap, shampoo etc.
